Design Retail & Saks Fifth Avenue to Host Student Window Challenge
June 5, 2014 - Design:Retail in cooperation with Saks Fifth Avenue, will host the third-annual Student Window Challenge on Thursday, June 5.

Goldsmith will be one of the industry sponsors – The design competition will bring together visual merchandising students from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and LIM College, giving them a chance to compete for a mentorship with the Saks window team.

The daylong challenge, was held inside Saks Fifth Avenue 49th Street windows at the Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York. Will culminate with an After Party and awards presentations at Saks, host by Design:Retail, Saks and supporting sponsors.

Meredith Christensen-Jennings and Linda Gjolaj from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) have been announced as the winners of the 2014 Student Window Challenge. The competition brought together 12 visual merchandising students (grouped in two-person teams) from LIM College and FIT, to compete for a mentorship with the Saks window team. The winners each received a $500 Saks gift card.
